New Body New Life- My Review

August 27th, 2009 | Uncategorized | No Comments »

New Body New Life is a health and fitness information method for sale on the Internet. I must admit it is unlike anything I’ve read in this area. However, that does not necessarily mean it’s right for you. Let me explain the differences, and you can judge for yourself.

Most diet or weight loss books have the same basic premise; if you want to lose weight and get in shape here’s what do: Eat right and get some exercise. Which is a good thing, because that’s the only thing that’s been proven to work. New Body New Life says you need to do that too, but with a very different twist.

The author [who says that he tried for 30 years to lose weight but could never keep it off] states that weight loss only works one way: You need to create a daily calorie deficit. He believes once you acknowledge that, weight loss can become incredibly easy and only take you twenty or thirty minutes a day of actual effort. His belief is that it really doesn’t matter all that much what you eat [as long as it's natural food] or how you exercise.

He says hat weight loss is 99% mental- meaning how you get active or exactly what you eat- doesn’t matter no where near as much as just making little healthy choices throughout the day.

The basic premise of New Body New Life is this: Health, weight loss, fitness, diet books, experts, and information is everywhere. Yet 2 out of 3 Americans are overweight or obese. This proves that information is not the problem. The problem is finding information without a hidden agenda to sell you a diet product- and then once you have that information, putting it to use in your daily life.

Here is where New Body New Life departs from the “eat right and get some exercise” mold: It gives you a basic understanding of what’s healthy to eat and how to challenge yourself physically- but the bulk of the book is spent on guiding you on how to change your unhealthy actions over to healthy ones.

Which when you think about it, makes perfect sense. You want to lose weight? Then eat right and get some exercise. But just how does one go about “eating right and getting some exercise?” A New Body New Life reader is instructed on how to find actions that are causing them to gain weight, and change them over to new actions that will cause them to lose it. I know that sounds simple enough, and this is where the author points out that most people hit a brick wall.

“Weight loss is made incredibly simple for us, because it only works one way.” States the Author, Mike Marsh. “It’s seeing our actions as they are, and then developing the skills to change them that’s the real hurdle.” Mike goes on to say “It does not matter how you create a calorie deficit. Eating natural food makes it easy, and getting active makes it easier still. The “secret” if there even is one, is simply eat the natural foods that you like, get active in ways you enjoy, and then step on the scale everyday- and let it tell you if you need to tweak those things.”

“The irony is, it took me 30 years of trial and error to figure that out” says Mike. “Now I choose what to weigh, and it takes me about twenty minutes a day to stay in shape. Losing weight can be compared to learning how to ride a bike. No one can tell you how to do it. You have to hop on and start peddling. Then once you learn, it becomes so easy you don’t give it second thought- and it’s a skill you have for the rest of your life.”

Simply put, New Body New Life walks you through the process of “discovering” how to make losing weight and getting healthy a simple part of your daily life. Basically, you take an honest look at your daily actions, pick the ones that are making you unhealthy, and “keep peddling” until you replace those actions with new ones. Mike admits this is where he loses a lot of people:

“Statistics show that out of all the people that try, only 5 percent can keep weight off permanently. And in my opinion it’s because they either buy diet scams that can never work, or they try what works, but they give up right before they discover how to make those new actions a simple part of their life.

I’ve walked people through using New Body New Life, and without exception, the ones that succeed have said they can’t believe how easy it becomes. Age, gender, physical ability has nothing to do with it. I all comes down to being persistent until you make it easy for you. Which cannot happen unless you’re willing to see things in your life as they are- and do something about them.”

“See things in your life that effect your health and happiness as they are- and do something about them.”

That’s what’s different about New Body New Life. If that makes sense, you will like it. If you follow the steps, the author says you will get a New Body- and New Life that comes with it. However, if you don’t like the idea of changing some things in your life, then it won’t work.

But then again, nothing ever will.
